Leslie Beddoes, Jr., Director
Mr. Beddoes is an international exploration consultant with more than 40 years' experience in the North American and international petroleum industry. Mr. Beddoes has been a Board member since November 2000.
Mr. Beddoes was formerly Vice President, International and Frontier Canada for Bow Valley Industries, an exploration and production company from 1989 to 1994. He also was one of the original founders of Bow Valley Energy Ltd., an exploration and production company, serving as Vice President of Exploration from their start in July 1996 until mid-1997. His work experience has included a six-year term with Asamera Inc. from 1982 to 1988 as Vice President and then Senior Vice President Exploration.
He holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Geology from Southern Methodist University.
Michael Binnion - President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Binnion is one of the founding shareholders of Questerre and has been actively involved in the financing and executive management of numerous private and public companies over the last 16 years.
He was a founding shareholder and Chief Executive Officer of Flowing from 1996 until 2001 and served as the Chairman of the Board from 1996 to 2004. He is also President and a Director of Terrenex and its predecessor since 1995 and a Director of High Arctic Energy Services, a public oilfield services company since 2005. From 1997 to 2000, he was founding shareholder, President, Chief Financial Officer and a Director of CanArgo.
Mr. Binnion holds Board positions with other private and public companies in Canada.
Mr. Binnion is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Alberta.
Russ Hammond, Director
Mr. Hammond is an independent businessman with over 30 years’ experience providing venture capital to firms in the natural resource and energy sectors. Mr. Hammond is also director of Eco Recycling Systems Ltd., an environmental services company since 2000.
Mr. Hammond is a director of Eco Recycling Systems Ltd., an environmental services company since 2000 and a director of Tethys Petroleum Ltd., an independent energy company operating in Central Asia since 2006.
Mr. Hammond is Chairman of Terrenex and its predecessor since 1995, a director and founder of CanArgo since July 1998, and a director of Cadiz Inc., an agricultural and water development company from 1991 to 1998.
Mr Hammond has been self-employed since 1986. From 1974 to 1985 he was an equity partner in the British brokerage firm, W. Greenwell & Co., and from 1985 to 1986 was Managing Director of Greenwell-Montague Securities following the firm's acquisition by the Midland Bank.
Mr. Hammond holds a Bachelors' degree in Economics from Cambridge University.
Tom Landry, Jr., Director
Mr. Landry is president and owner of L&L Petroleum Corporation, an independent exploration and production company with operations on the Texas Gulf Coast and Oklahoma since 1999. Mr. Landry has over 25 years management experience in all aspects of the oil and gas industry including exploration and production, oilfield services and distribution.
From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Landry was a partner in Turnkey Partners, Inc. a private drilling firm specializing in providing turnkey drilling services in the Texas and New Mexico basins. From 1991 to 1993, he was Chairman and CEO of EOR Inc., a NASDAQ listed oilfield services company. From 1978 to 1984, he was a co-owner of a large independent drilling contractor based in Texas and Oklahoma and owned an interest in numerous private oilfield service companies.
Mr. Landry holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts from Duke University, a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Texas and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
David Mallory, Director
Mr. Mallory is one of the founding shareholders of Questerre and has over 20 years business and financial management experience.
He is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of BLZ Energy Inc., a private E&P company based in Calgary, Alberta. Mr. Mallory recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Guardian Exploration Inc., a public oil & gas exploration and production company from December 2004 to May 2006. From November 2000 to May 2004, he served as Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Flowing.
From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Mallory served as Chief Financial Officer of Oxbow Equities Corp., a public investment company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Prior thereto he was employed by TransAlta Utilities Corporation, one of the largest utility companies in Canada. His positions with TransAlta included Manager, Internal Audit, Accounting and Project Finance and Controller.
Mr. Mallory holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of New Brunswick and is a Chartered Accountant.
Peder Paus, Chairman of the Board
Based in Oslo, Norway, Mr. Paus is a private investor focusing on turnaround and M&A situations.
Mr. Paus is currently director and Chairman of Dora AS, a private Norwegian real estate development company. He also serves as a director of Terrenex Ltd., a public investment holding company that is a significant shareholder of the Company. From 1998 to 2004, he served as a director of Flowing Energy Corporation, a junior exploration and production company operating in Alberta, and from June 1998 to June 2001 was Director of CanArgo Energy Corporation, an integrated exploration and production company operating in the Republic of Georgia.
From 1981 to 1995, Mr. Paus was Chief Executive Officer of North Venture Ltd., a shipping and offshore consulting firm based in London, England. In this capacity he was involved in restructuring several large private companies including the refrigerated transportation division of PPI-Del Monte Fresh Produce B.V. During this period, Mr. Paus was also engaged as special consultant to the British Ministry of Defense and Export Credits Guarantee Department of the British Government.
Mr. Paus also has extensive experience in the banking and international finance sector. He was Executive Director, Member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Manufacturers Hanover Limited and Vice President of Manufacturers Hanover Corporation, one of the leading US banks in the 1970s and early 1980s. He was also head of the Scandinavian division of Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co.
Mr. Paus graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Business Administration in 1971. Mr. Paus was elected director of the Company in December 2000.
Mr. Tonnessen is currently Managing Director in Norway and Executive VP Business Development for the Svenska Group, a private Swedish exploration and production company.
He was formerly the senior energy analyst with DnB NOR Markets ASA from January 2003 to July 2007 and an equity analyst with Handelsbanken Capital Markets from October 2001 to November 2002. Prior thereto he was employed by the Svenska Group in a variety of progressively more senior roles including exploration and production manager for a large part of the company’s portfolio.
Mr. Tonnessen holds a Bachelors’ degree in Petroleum Engineering from Stavanger University in Norway and an MBA equivalent degree from Stockholm University in Sweden.
Jed Wood , Director
Mr. Wood is founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of High Arctic Energy Services Inc., a public oilfield service company in Canada. Mr. Wood has over 25 years experience in the oil industry.
Mr. Wood serves as a director of several private and public companies in Canada.
From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Wood served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Safety and Environmental Assurance Leaders International Incorporated, a private company providing health, safety and environment services. Mr. Wood joined Board of Directors of the Petroleum Services Association of Canada in 2002.

John Brodylo, Vice President, Exploration
Exploration Manager since March 2001 and Vice President, Exploration since January 2004. Mr. Brodylo has over 20 years experience as a geologist with medium to large energy companies.
Mr. Brodylo's career has focused on both development and exploration activities primarily in Central Alberta. He has been responsible for independently generating prospects, conducting large-scale regional studies and geological mapping integrated with the work of geophysics and petrophysics. He was employed by Draig Energy Ltd. as exploration geologist from June 1998 to March 2001. From 1995 to 1998, he was employed by Pan Northern Resources Ltd. Prior thereto, he was employed by Samedan Oil of Canada Ltd. Mr. Brodylo was previously employed by Canadian Occidental Petroleum Ltd. as a exploration geologist in domestic and international operations from 1989 to 1993.
Mr. Brodylo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Calgary.
Peter Coldham , Vice President, Engineering & Operations
Mr. Coldham has been Vice President, Engineering and Operations since December 2005. A petroleum engineer, he has over 24 years of experience in the Western Canadian Sedimentary basin with both multinational and junior companies.
Mr. Coldham's career has been broad in scope with responsibilities in all aspects of hydrocarbon exploration, production and refining. He has worked in almost all parts of the hydrocarbon value chain with responsibilities ranging from VP Business Development/Exploration to responsibilities in the Supply and Scheduling group at a refinery. A generalist, he has a strong business background with significant experience in Business Development and Evaluations.
Mr. Coldham was employed from 1982 to 1998 with Chevron Canada where he held positions ranging from drilling and completions, exploration engineering, through to assignments in Chevron's Burnaby refinery. From 1998 to 2001, he was employed at Dynegy Canada Midstream where he was gained extensive experience with gas plants, sour gas development and regulatory procedures. He then consulted briefly prior to his most recent employment as VP Business Development (responsible for Acquisitions and Exploration) at a private junior oil company, Fortune Energy Inc., from April 2002 to November 2005.
Mr. Coldham holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the University of Calgary. He is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGGA in Alberta.
Jason D'Silva, Vice President, Finance
Mr. D'Silva has over 13 years progressive experience in corporate finance and management of primarily junior public companies. He currently serves as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer and is one of the founding shareholders of Questerre.
Mr. D'Silva has been employed by Terrenex and its predecessor since 1995 and has been actively involved in several of its investee companies including Flowing and CanArgo. Prior to his employment by Questerre, Mr. D'Silva was employed by CanArgo as Corporate Compliance Officer from 1998 to 2000.
Mr. D'Silva holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Utah State University.
Richard Mindus, Manager of Operations
Chief Operator
since May 1, 2002. Mr. Mindus has over 25 years' oil and gas operations
experience with five years' experience operating at the Beaver River
Field.
Mr. Mindus' career has focused on all aspects of operating oil and gas production facilities, particularly in remote locations, including well and plant operations, plant maintenance, basic well servicing, heavy equipment operations and structural welding. Prior to his employment with Questerre, he was employed as a contract operator for Nexen Inc. where he was responsible for operations at their Hay River field in northwestern Alberta and the Beaver River Field. From 1989 to 1995, he was employed by Wascana Energy and was responsible for the operation of their Senate and Battle Creek processing facilities in Saskatchewan. From 1980 to 1989, he was employed by Norcen Energy Resources Ltd., where his duties included operating their St. Albert, Boyer, Judy Creek and Spirit River processing facilities in Alberta.
Maria Rees, Corporate Secretary and Controller
Ms. Rees has been corporate secretary and controller since November
2000.
Ms. Rees has been Controller and Corporate Secretary of Terrenex since
1995 and a Director since November 2000. She has also served as Vice
President, Business Administration and Corporate Secretary and Controller
of CanArgo Energy Corporation from 1998 to 2000.
Rick Tityk, Vice President, Land
Mr. Tityk has been Vice President, Land since November 2005.
He has over nine years experience most recently as the Land Lead with Hunt Oil Company of Canada Inc. where he played an integral role in expanding both the exploration and developmental plays Hunt had within Central Alberta, Northern Alberta, the Foothills, and NE British Columbia. Prior to Hunt he was a Landman with Star Oil Gas Ltd., Calpine Canada Corporation and Encal Energy Ltd. where he was responsible for the initiation and negotiation of numerous transactions.
Mr. Tityk holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Petroleum Land Management and Accounting from the University of Calgary. He is also an active member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen.
