July 23, 2007 – Summer work program begins at Beaver River

Calgary, Alberta - Questerre Energy Corporation ("Questerre" or the "Company") (TSX, OSE: QEC) is pleased to announce that the summer work program has recently commenced at the Beaver River Field in British Columbia.

The first phase of the program will target the Mattson horizon with the completion and testing of the B-3 well and additional testing of the A-7 well. The second phase will target the deeper Nahanni horizon with the spud of the A-8 well.

Completion operations commenced last week on the B-3 well, where up to six prospective intervals have been identified for perforation and stimulation. Following the completion and testing of B-3, operations will proceed with the stimulation and testing of up to two additional intervals in the A-7 well. The data gathered from these two wells, in addition to the A-2 well, currently producing just under 3 mmcf/d (500 barrels of oil equivalent), will be utilized to assess the Mattson as a potential resource play.

Work has also started on the A-8 Nahanni well. With receipt of all requisite approvals, construction of the surface lease is underway. The primary target is an undrilled Nahanni fault block identified on seismic. The well will test three additional zones of interest including the Mattson, Mississippian fractured carbonates and Devonian Shales. Subject to rig availability and mobilization, the A-8 well is programmed to spud in August and will take approximately 120 days to drill. The well will be completed and tested in early 2008.
