Calgary, Alberta - Questerre Energy Corporation ("Questerre" or the "Company") reported today that Talisman Energy Inc. (“Talisman”), the operator, has finalized drilling operations on the Gentilly #1 well in the St. Lawrence Lowlands in Quebec. Questerre holds an interest in the Gentilly #1 well.
The well reached total depth of 2530m and was logged to evaluate prospective intervals. Based on the logs, a liner was set in the Potsdam formation. The operator is currently developing a program to test the fractured shales and Trenton Black-River intervals. Testing of these intervals is expected to commence during the first quarter of 2007.
