Lessons from India

All over the world, people are interested in the Questerre experience in the Utica shale.  I have been asked to speak on "Lessons from North America" in Oslo, London, Warsaw, Amsterdam, Berlin, Singapore, Beijing, Perth and where I am right now, New Delhi. As it turns out, New Delhi has a lesson for North America.  Since 2001, by law, all public transport, taxis, trucks and even the auto-rickshaws are powered by compressed natural gas. During my visit I appreciated the cleaner air. The vehicle owners appreciate the lower fuel costs. Why in North America are we still using diesel and gasoline for fleet vehicles and heavy trucks? Quebec imports 46 percent of its energy. Montreal buses use diesel made in part from Venezuela crude. Why don't Quebecers use natural gas from under their own feet?
