Peder Paus, Chairman of the Board
Based in Oslo, Norway, Mr. Paus is a private investor focusing on turnaround and M&A situations.
Mr. Paus is currently director and Chairman of Dora AS, a private Norwegian real estate development company. He also served as a director of Terrenex Ltd., a public investment holding company that was a significant shareholder of the Company. From 1998 to 2004, he served as a director of Flowing Energy Corporation, a junior exploration and production company operating in Alberta, and from June 1998 to June 2001 was Director of CanArgo Energy Corporation, an integrated exploration and production company operating in the Republic of Georgia.
From 1981 to 1995, Mr. Paus was Chief Executive Officer of North Venture Ltd., a shipping and offshore consulting firm based in London, England. In this capacity he was involved in restructuring several large private companies including the refrigerated transportation division of PPI-Del Monte Fresh Produce B.V. During this period, Mr. Paus was also engaged as special consultant to the British Ministry of Defense and Export Credits Guarantee Department of the British Government.
Mr. Paus also has extensive experience in the banking and international finance sector. He was Executive Director, Member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Manufacturers Hanover Limited and Vice President of Manufacturers Hanover Corporation, one of the leading US banks in the 1970s and early 1980s. He was also head of the Scandinavian division of Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co.
Mr. Paus graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Business Administration in 1971. Mr. Paus was elected director of the Company in December 2000.

Mr. Beddoes is an international exploration consultant with more than 40 years' experience in the North American and international petroleum industry. Mr. Beddoes has been a Board member since November 2000.
Mr. Beddoes was formerly Vice President, International and Frontier Canada for Bow Valley Industries, an exploration and production company from 1989 to 1994. He also was one of the original founders of Bow Valley Energy Ltd., an exploration and production company, serving as Vice President of Exploration from their start in July 1996 until mid-1997. His work experience has included a six-year term with Asamera Inc. from 1982 to 1988 as Vice President and then Senior Vice President Exploration.
He holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Geology from Southern Methodist University.
Michael Binnion, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Binnion is one of the founding shareholders of Questerre and has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Questerre Energy Corp., a public, oil and gas exploration and production company, since November 2000.
Mr. Binnion has been actively involved in the financing and executive management of numerous private and public companies over the last 16 years through his investment company, Rupert's Crossing Inc. Mr. Binnion served as the President and a Director of Terrenex and its predecessor from October 1995 to April 2008. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Flowing Energy Corp., a junior exploration and production company, from June 1996 to December 2001 and served as Chairman of the Board from 2002 to 2004. He served as the President and Chief Financial Officer of CanArgo Energy Corporation, an independent exploration & production company from 1997 to 2000. From 1992 to 1997 he was Executive Director of Crossfield House Inc., a private merchant banking firm. From 1992 to 1998 he was a minority shareholder and manager of a private investment company that held interest in commercial real estate and golf courses. Prior thereto he was Manager in the High Tech group at Clarkson Gordon, a division of Ernst & Young, specializing in tax-assistant financings. Mr. Binnion served as Chairman of the Board of Sylogist Ltd. from March 2000 to February 2002. He has been Director of Sylogist Ltd. since March 1997. He served as a Director of Magnus Energy, Inc. from March 4, 2005 to November 2007. Mr. Binnion serves as an Independent Director of High Arctic Energy Services Trust.
Mr. Binnion is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Alberta.
Mr. Boivin is a builder and corporate leader who pursued his entire career in the sports and entertainment industry. Mr. Boivin has been director since August 2008.
Since 1999, he has been President of the Montreal Canadiens, the Gillett Entertainment Group and the Bell Centre. He manages and oversees all sports and entertainment activities presented at the Bell Centre and in several other indoor and outdoor venues across Eastern Canada. In 1994, Pierre Boivin was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Canstar Sports Inc., a Montreal-based public company and a world leader in the hockey equipment industry. In 1995, Canstar was acquired by Nike, Inc. and became Bauer Nike Hockey Inc. Pierre remained as CEO of the new company until 1999. From 1993 to 1994, Pierre Boivin held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Weider Sporting Goods Inc., a world-leading sports and fitness equipment manufacturer based in Los Angeles.
Pierre is a member of the Board of Governors of the National Hockey League. He is Chairman of the board of Kangaroo Media Inc. and a member of the board of Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. (XM Canada) He is also the Chairman of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation which he founded in 2000. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated over $7 million to support over 300 organizations in Quebec dedicated to improving the well-being of sick and underprivileged children.
Mr. Hammond is an independent businessman with over 30 years’ experience providing venture capital to firms in the natural resource and energy sectors. Mr. Hammond is also director of Eco Recycling Systems Ltd., an environmental services company since 2000.
Mr. Hammond is a director of Eco Recycling Systems Ltd., an environmental services company since 2000 and a director of Tethys Petroleum Ltd., an independent energy company operating in Central Asia since 2006.
Mr. Hammond served as Chairman of Terrenex and its predecessor from 1995 to 2008. He is director and founder of CanArgo since July 1998, and a director of Cadiz Inc., an agricultural and water development company from 1991 to 1998.
Mr. Hammond has been self-employed since 1986. From 1974 to 1985 he was an equity partner in the British brokerage firm, W. Greenwell & Co., and from 1985 to 1986 was Managing Director of Greenwell-Montague Securities following the firm's acquisition by the Midland Bank.
Mr. Hammond holds a Bachelors' degree in Economics from Cambridge University.
Patrick is a Vice President with Capgemini, a major global and publicly traded consulting firm headquartered in Paris. He currently leads their Oil and Gas services group, a multinational team responsible for developing and delivering service offerings specifically for this sector. He has over 25 years over oil and gas experience and has worked in over 30 countries. He has extensive experience in the transformation of National Oil Companies and for the past three years he has focused on expanding Capgemini's business in Asia Pacific and particularly in China.
He began his career with Ernst & Young's predecessor firm Woods Gordon in 1986, advancing through various positions and culminating in his admission to the Partnership in 1990. He joined Capgemini as a Vice president in May 2000 upon the divestment of its consulting business in May 2000.
Prior to taking on his current global role in 2003, Patrick had dual responsibilities in Canada as both the Sector Leader for Oil and Gas and the Supply Chain Leader for the Energy and Utilities business. In this capacity he was responsible for the sales and delivery of all consulting, technology and business outsourcing services.
Patrick is a performance improvement specialist and has directed numerous business advisory and technology projects worldwide. He has developed of a portfolio of specialty oil and services and recently led research studies of the adoption of leading collaborative technologies ("digital oil") in the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Prior to joining Capgemini (Ernst & Young) in 1986, he was employed by Dome Petroleum (BP) in a number of production and development engineering positions. He holds an engineering degree from Dalhousie (1981) and an M.B.A. from the University of Calgary (1987).
Bjorn Inge Tonnessen, Director
He was formerly the senior energy analyst with DnB NOR Markets ASA from January 2003 to July 2007 and an equity analyst with Handelsbanken Capital Markets from October 2001 to November 2002. Prior thereto he was employed by the Svenska Group in a variety of progressively more senior roles including exploration and production manager for a large part of the company’s portfolio. Mr. Tonnessen has also been working as an offshore drilling engineer for several years.
Mr. Tonnessen holds a Bachelors’ degree in Petroleum Engineering from Stavanger University in Norway and an MBA equivalent degree from Stockholm University in Sweden.
